Homer pick, but with back up.
Texas is tied with LSU @ #2 for NC's. They are #1 in each of the other most important catagories.
LSU would need some separation in the NC count to get the purist to waiver from Texas being top of the list. If anyone, it would be USC #1 all time.

congrats...you are a fan of the most successful college BB team of all time. any ounce of bravado you've achieved is negated by the fact that you are on your knees while posting on a SOUHTEASTERNCONFERENCE message board.

I agree that Texas is the all-time greatest program, edging out LSU despite the result of their last CWS encounter.
It is easy to overemphasize the last head-to-head result when making these "all-time" assessments. But that kind of thinking is the product of a cognitive bias called "recency bias" -- we tend to give more weight to the most recent piece of information. For example, many a stock broker have lost their asses because they overemphasized the latest report without accounting for aggregated history.
If you look at the history, Texas is slightly better. That's no knock on LSU -- obviously LSU was the greatest program of the 1990s and changed the game substantially during that time.
