I don't know any Mizzou fan that is upset about being in the SEC..all love it. There are some on Mizzou boards that hate it but they're less than 2% IMO.

I can see that, and I am glad Missouri is in the conference.

But the longer things go on, I'm really starting to hate this whole superconference idea.

I really think the best games are ones where the fanbases interact on a daily basis (like you might actually run into a fan of another school).

And where the fanbase and students can make a road trip to each other's school without it being some super long drive that makes you miss class on Friday to make sure you make it.

If you are old enough, wasn't the old Big 8 a lot more convenient? Iowa State, the two Okie schools, Nebraska, Kansas, Kansas State all in states bordering Missouri. Only road trip was Colorado, and I imagine that was closer than Columbia, SC or Gainesville to Columbia, MO.

Really I think the Big 10 flubbed expansion. They should have invited you and Kansas. You both fit their academic profile, and a pretty decent regional pod could have been formed:

Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska. Gotta admit, you would have had some really rocking basketball going on too.

Hmm I guess the Eastern Big 10 would have been: Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Indiana, Purdue, Northwestern, and Penn State.

Assuming you had both offers in hand, which do you think would have been better for Missouri as a whole?
