If I remember correctly, quite a few years ago, a state outlawed Bestiality.. then repealed the law.


It sounds terrible.. but usually it's because the law is written overly broadly.. and in this case I believe it criminalized certain actions that are necessary for animal husbandry and in veterinary practice.

It's also because they are redundant laws. Bestiality is prosecuted under statutes outlawing animal cruelty.
