Who should the hawks be looking at in the draft?

Snagging TJ leaf or harry Giles at 19 would be sick. Having thornwell or swannigan fall to us at 31 would also be a blessing. What do you guys think?

Go all in for Paul George. Trade whatever is needed to get him. These middle of the round draft picks will never build a competitive franchise

Rumor has it that they offered 4 first round picks for George this year and got rejected.

I disagree. I don't think the hawks with George would propel them to above the cavs. I think the hawks need to rebuild. By the way, the hawks two best players were picked 17th, and sometime in the 2nd round so it's possible to find good talent there

Would love if Kennard was there. Need shooting/spacing.
Patton looks intriguing as a potential developmental stretch big if he can get to league average shooting from outside.

Kennard another good one. Hawks desperately missed having korver as a spot up shooter. THJ is probably the best all around 3 point shooter on the team but man when he's off he's offffff

2 best players on the Hawks is relative to everyone else. We aren't going anywhere fast making the playoffs every year and picking 17-20. Tank or trade are the 2 best options

I enjoyed seeing THJ improve and justify the trade but I wouldn't want to invest in him long term due to his streakiness and defensive liabilities. Can't pair him with Schroder moving forward IMO, skills and deficiencies overlap too much.

The odds of finding a good to great piece, and not just a complimentary one at that spot is very low.
With the first round pick, you need to go boom or bust with someone like Harry Giles, who is a top 5 talent, but who knows if he will even become half the player he could be before his injuries.
Then you could go safe with pick 31 if you want. Or you could go big again if someone like Diallo, Frank Jackson, or Omer Yurtseven.
