Blair went 5 scoreless last night while Ozzie went 3 for 3 with a home run and stolen base, 2 BBs, and 3 RBI.
No word yet whether Camargo, Ruiz, or a non-roster player is getting called up to replace Garcia who went on the DL yesterday.

From reading Bowman it sounds like it'll be Camargo. They don't want Ruiz and Jace both spot starting at 3B as lefty bats.
EMILIO.........STILL SAFELY ON THE ROSTER

I would bring up Rio and throw him into the starting lineup for all of Garcia's DL stint. Give him a cup of coffee and see what he can do. I would also bring up Camargo and tell Bonifacio to go the frick home.
Camargo would be a permanent fixture on the bench for me with Jace continuing to be the do-everything role player. To me, Jace shouldn't even be considered when talking about who should come up to play 3B. He'll probably never be an everyday player and we should treat him as such.

I think Keith Lockhart snuck into the clubhouse at SunTrust and left a dossier of all of the dirt that he has on Schuerholz in Bonifacio's locker. It's the only explanation.

I agree re: Jace. I love Jace, I love having him as a super-utility guy. I don't like him getting extended starts at a position over more than a 2-3 day period where someone has a blister or something. That isn't his role.
I'd like to see more of Camargo. He's an interesting piece.
As for Boni, I can't get started on all that. When the guy is on the bench solely for his proficiency at sacrifice bunting.......there is a problem. He clearly has pictures of Coppy and Tim Lee doing it doggy style or something.

Yea, I don't get it at all. I don't even see the angle where it makes sense.
Rojas, Avery or Adams should all be given at least some sort of shot. I'm sure Boni is the greatest clubhouse veteran blah blah dude ever, but he's one of the worst major league baseball players at this point that I can remember seeing on a roster. He does nothing well beyond sacrifice bunts (literally). It makes no sense. At all.
At least we got Boni Jr. on the roster too in Danny Santana.

I'm nearly done listening to Keith Law's "Smart Baseball" audio book, and it makes me loathe Bonifacio even more.

Afternoon game today.
Newcomb went 5.1 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 2 BB, and 6 SO. His ERA for the year is 2.74. Threw 97 pitches, so he still appears to be working too hard even in his good outings. Akeel Morris dominant out of the pen with 1.2 IP, 3 Ks.
Ozzie has gone 2 for 4 with 1 R and 1 BB. Ruiz 1 for 4 with 1 2B and 1 K.

We might end up with Ruiz anyways, pending Freeman's hand situation...ugh

Why couldn't this happen to Bonifacio?
Posted on 5/18/17 at 7:41 am to SumterCoDawg
probably because the opposing knows that he'll either bunt, strike out on pitches down the middle, or ground out to 2nd on pitches down the middle.

Hey now, every major league bench needs a prolific sacrifice bunter on it.
