Championships and being in position to win one is the essence of being relevant.
This is football, not horseshoes!
And if you want to use who's "closer"...
Missouri can play in the Sec Championship game for the next 10 years (which you won't, and you won't play in one) and you will never be closer than LSU to winning a National Championship.
And you were never closer than LSU to winning a National Championship since you've been in the conference...
You're just not good enough and not even in the conversation.

Well Mizzou was one game away in 2007 and one game away in 2013.

Thats completely false. A win in the SEC Championship game in 2013 over BCS #4 Auburn would have put BCS #5Mizzou in the National championship game.

LSU had to hope for a BCS #1mizzou loss on conference championship weekend to backdoor into the National championship game in 2007. Im sure none of you had any conversations about Mizzou football that year.
