quote:Hire a really good and experienced Turf Manager and he'll be able to cultivate a grass field. There are new strains of shade resistant athletic grass that should be able to work in there............
Can't get a good root system down in Razorback Stadium. Not enough sunlight in the stadium. We've tried before and it just gets torn to shreds with divots all over the field.

Pretty sure Arkansas has an excellent turf manager.
That field only gets maybe 5 hours of full sun a day. Not only is it orientated north south with high sides, but it sits in a bowl, which blocks indirect light as well. Bringing up the south side at all is only going to make that issue even worse. Grass needs more than 5 hours of sun. Unless you are using fescue.
Anyways, I haven't been by there in a couple weeks. Looks good! Coming along nicely.
