I think he could probably get a pass for not smelling some weed at 3 a.m. on a Monday morning.

Chip, story for you... see how many felony and misdemeanor arrests made by University and by local police on football players by SEC team over the last 10 years. It would be interesting to see the data. I, sure your fellow beat writers could help.

Maybe...unless something bad happened. Hey. I know people are going to disagree with me. But the older you get, you take on a new perspective. He was doing his job. I've gotten speeding tickets in my lifetime....some for going 9 or 10 miles an hour over the speed limit. Could the cop have turned a blind eye and let me go and there would be no harm done? yes. But I never blamed the cop because he was doing his job. At some point you don't blame the guy for doing his job. You blame yourself for doing something stupid that you knew was wrong.
