One last question:
If a 22 year old right out of college is interviewing with GE against another 22 year old out of college and everything else is the exact same (degree, GPA, personality), but one went to Clemson and one went to MIT...
Who is more likely to get the job?

one question for you, do you think engineers at companies looking to hire base decisions on US News?
Say the hiring manager is a CLemson alumn working at a SC employer, you think he prefers MIT over Clemson? Because the US News does?

I asked him the same question in a different thread and he couldn't answer it. He just kept changing the subject of suggested they'll pick the Clemson one.
