Either he is not as good as you guys think

He is wildly overrated on this board. People thinking he would succeed at a major program are delusional. He has tried to leave for better jobs and been rejected because he's a weirdo and a mediocre coach. His record is inflated by playing an awful non conference schedule plus Kentucky every year

His record is also "deflated" by playing in the hardest CFB division, in the era when it has probably been it's hardest. Bama, Auburn, and LSU all are going to outrecruit MSU on name alone. Ole Miss has been paying 5 stars. A&M is in Texas and has been capitalizing on the "Texas school in the SEC" recruiting pitch. He's got a team basically locked into the slot of 6-7 most talented team in the division, and he's still found success.

He hasn't been able to find any program willing to pay him what MSU pays him, admittedly.
The rest is just terrible opinion
