Orgeron is a DL coach who no one else wanted. Some LSU fans feel optimistic but they're lying to themselves or completely biased to classify him as a good coach right now. Best case is he ends up as a success story who coaches who failed miserably and recovered nicely. Hopefully but yet to be seen.

Ed Orgeron was on MSU campus I guess 4 or 5 years ago? It's been a while. A lot of MSU fans were hoping Mullen was about to hire him on defense but to this day nobody knows what was going on. Might have been an interview process? I would have nabbed him in a heartbeat. Dude can recruit and knows a thing or two about defenses.
