It is not hard at all to make the tournament in basketball.
Teams like Seton Hall, Providence and Miami were flat out bad basketball teams for long stretches of the season and made the field. Vandy's resume was pretty horrible for 3/4 of the season last year and they waltzed in to the field.
I understand some of the coaches walked in to bad situations but it should not take longer than 3-4 years just to make the tourney.

Yea, I don't see why anyone would think any of the teams who were pretty solid but not great in the SEC this year that return most of their players wouldn't have a decent shot at the NCAAT next year.
Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama and Mississippi State should all be better teams.
