Probably the only time during the Nick Saban era I have ever been nervous for an Alabama-Mississippi State game, and that includes the 2014 game when they were #1. Thankfully my nervousness was completely unjustified.

Should have been nervous in 2007.

I wasn't nervous going into the game. I thought for sure we'd recover after the loss to LSU and be 8-3 going into the Iron Bowl in Jordan-Hare. We were in control of that game, too, until Wilson threw a freaking pick six at the goal line. We should have been up 12-3 at the very least going into halftime. Instead we were down 10-9.

2007 was the last year I remember playing Alabama, where we were just as physical of a football team. Maybe a little more so.

You were definitely the more physical team that day. Especially in the second half. After that pick six to end the half it's like the team just gave up on the game and the season.

You should be scared this season. Because you gumps will suffer such an embarrassing loss to Mullen that fans will start turning against Saban to the point he retires.

Say goodbye to your cowbells once that happens

I like Mullen, but he doesn't have enough led in his butt to ever beat Bama.

What does this mean? You say that like it's an even playing field. Bama is lightyears ahead of State in talent and depth. Mullen can only do so much.

All that is true, but I'm talking fire and brimstone. If everything else were equal, Saban would still own him in a 10 year span. That's my theory. Saban is just way more intense as a coach.
