And you STILL have to give penalties for the reduced allegations that dropped down a notch.

There are several from the original NOA that we've already punished. The player that crashed on the coach's couch has already paid back the coach. Tunsil was suspended for 7 games until the NCAA cleared him because of the loaner car deal. Players paid back for free meal. Several recruiting restrictions(visits, phone calls, etc.)

I'm not saying that this will completely get us off the hook...but we won't be double punished for some of the violations that we've already made amends.

Good, your Administration showed contrition and made and attempt to right the mistakes. This should be viewed in a positive light when they get to the COI.

Has OM done anything to purge the boosters? Because IMHO, they are the jackasses that at the end of the day won't be directly affected by the sanctions. They won't lose their jobs, or have to pay restitution, or suffer public humility for their actions.

The one involved with Tunsil's step-dad has been disassociated with the University. They won't do anything to the FCA booster that we keep mentioning because he has a pre-existing relationship with that recruit and has a long history of taking underprivileged kids from inner-city Memphis to several schools.

The one named in the Leo Lewis deal sounds a bit weird. I don't think anything has been said officially with that guy but there was pretty strong talk that the guy Leo said personally gave him money is an attorney that was in Circuit court that entire day....so it would have been impossible for that to happen. If it's true Leo specifically mentioned only him and that specific date, then it sounds like he's got a pretty strong alibi.

....but again...I have no idea how accurate that is.
