It's really good food, but it's way over priced. Honestly, I think they're banking on the fact that everything is already expensive as frick in Charelston, so people will pay exorbitant amounts of money for BBQ, too. Give me Home Team with their smoked wings and pain killers all day long.
Lewis is apparently considered one of the best pit masters in Texas by a lot of "foody" type folks, and his brisket is delicious. Just watch yourself if you give it a try. They do everything by the pound, so 2 slices of brisket doesn't sound like much, but at $30 lb it comes out to like $12.
