Will guns be allowed in the stadium, though? I mean, it's not ILLEGAL to bring a lot of things in, but they are still banned by the stadium.

As has been started before in the thread, fans are not currently searched when entering the stadium so this isnt really going to change anything. The only security we have in place now at the gates are tables where people with bags are supposed to go and have them looked through. That involves you opening the bag, them glancing in and then you moving on. I've been to high school sporting events that have more security than what we currently have at Arkansas football games.

It will change things.

I personally don't sneak booze in to games because I'd prefer to get loaded beforehand and not risk the small chance of getting busted and missing the game. But if they suddenly said "everybody over 21 is welcome to bring in booze", I'd be bringing beer in by the briefcase.

Likewise, a reasonable individual isn't going to try to sneak in a gun for shits and giggles and face the possible (much more severe) penalties. However, if folks are legally allowed to bring their firearms, many will.

Nobody is arguing that this will make any difference if someone was really hell bent on sneaking a gun in and shooting folks. However, legally bringing weapons into an environment filled with passion, alcohol, and 80,000 other people seems absurd. The first time some drunk concealed carry baw points a gun at a mouthy opposing fan...that's gonna make the University look wonderful.
