Wade is highly thought of by a lot of folks so I'm guessing he'll do a good job. However, while Chattanooga was coming off 2 bad seasons, they are a historically good basketball program that had been pretty solid just before the 2 year downturn. And, of course, VCU has been solid for more than a decade now (and historically).
Seems like a solid, cheaper end hire, which is basically what most expected. Could definitely have done much worse.

He brought a team that went 24-40 the two years prior to 40-25 and had their best season in 15 years. As a 30 year old first time coach.
He also invented Shaka Smart's "havoc" press that is so famous. He's a great basketball X and O mind, called an analytics junkie, and has a lot at both stops.
He's young, energetic, and has no ties to better programs that would steal him away in 2 years.
I'll fricking take it.
