So how many wings we going to take. Is CJ Walker a legit target?

Alabama really wants him, but it seems we have a lot of work to do

We offered another wing. Samuell Williamson out of Texas. Kansas is a heavy favorite for him.

It's the makeup of this roster. We lost Key last year, will be losing Norris this year, and have the potential of losing Jones, Petty or Mack next year leaving Ingram and Wood as the only guaranteed (barring transfer) remaining returning wings (one of which I don't see as a contributor here though I hope I'm wrong). Meanwhile we have Reese, Giddens, Smith, and Fleming as our 4/5s with Gary coming in as another potential small-ball 4. We need some wings in a bad way if 1 or 2 of Jones/Mack/Petty leave.

Stop being confused, we just had a guy go in the top 10 NBA Draft. Couple that in with every single HS basketball recruit knowing who Avery Johnson is means Alabama is at least blip on every HS BB players radar. Why not test the waters on players that you think can improve your program. Plus Avery is a good salesman

We already have two wings committed. Do we need three? That's why I am confused. If I what the he'll you're talking about.

IT DOESN’T MATTER ANYMORE. Do you get that. What are depth at wing rn. Riley Norris and Herb Jones(A guy that’s getting NBA looks, can take some ball handling duties and might not be here for the 2019 season). Maybe we are trying to get some more versatility team. I mean this isn’t rocket science man

It’s just the stupidty of the statement. Like who knows how this next season will go. Not saying it’s going to be bad but right now we are a viable destination in college basketball. So we need to take as many shots at any talent that we can. This is what great recruiters do.

Brah, I'll say this in a nice way... it's never enough to add wings. You want wings that can play small at multiple positions.

So someone asking about numbers is stupid in a basketball recruiting thread is stupid...Anyway it'll be interesting to see the rotation next year. I really hope it doesn't include Riley and AN but I know it will lol.

I've been thinking the same thing. Seems like we are targeting a ton of wings, Lewis and then Watford/Timme

Because we just don’t have viable forwards any outside of Herb. Petty is more of a SG especially in the SEC.so we need more length on the perimeter and of course depth.

There was a VIP article on Watford today. When asked about Alabama he basically said they were on me first and they’re a great program. He went in depth about the other schools. Idk if that’s bc he isn’t interested in us, or maybe it’s just bc he’s visited us so much there’s nothing more he can say. But he said he’ll be setting up visits soon

It would be huge to get Watford. Going out of state probably not a big deal just like his brother.

It’s just a very weird situation with him. I’ve had people I trust say he’s gonna end up at Bama and others say he won’t. So I really don’t know anymore what to expect. Maybe if we land Kira, then Kira, Diante, and Juwan can all recruit him to Bama
