We've only had like 3 coaches in 80 years or something like that. Our coach of 20+ years got fired after the season last year. Team just went stagnant under him. Couldn't hit. Truth be told, he was never that good when he didn't have Max Scherzer or Aaron Crow on his roster.
As for talent, some experience with Tanner Houck back. He'll be a first half of the first round type pitcher. Couple position players who are in their 3rd year who have matured. Add to it a couple of freshmen that the new coach brought in that are playing well so far.
It's been a fun ride so far but will be a whole different world a week from now.
