Sup my dood
In 1973, Ole Miss was a top fifteen all-time program, similar to where Auburn is today. And . . . now it's gone
You could make a good argument for Ole Miss and Missouri being 9a and 9b too. Ole Miss did have true national relevance for a twenty-year span, and Missouri has yet to have such a prolonged impact. In any event, the gap between A&M is Ole Miss is substantial. It would take a national title or ten years of 2015-level play for Ole Miss to catch A&M, with a conference title or two sprinkled in. As you may recall, although it seems like so long ago, Ole Miss finished with a top ten ranking in 2015.
Tiers are not so easy in terms of the SEC when you're as particular as you and I are.

That is what makes all time lists so hard to compile. Sure... Bama up top but ignoring Ole Miss or Mizzou... ah shite.
We need more booze to discuss this in the detail that is called for.
