The straw game pays. I know a guy who heard about the dude who sells the augusta national all their gourmet pine straw and he's making millions.

It's no bed of roses though. He sent a load one time that wasn't shampooed and combed and it got turned around and sent back at the gate sight unseen, so he's pretty sure his phone is bugged.

I believe it. I'd like to see the long leafs that produce that straw. Bet he could have another million in timber.

In Columbia pinestraw goes for $3 - $4 bale. So obviously you could get $8 in suburban Atl.

Spreading is another $2 or so.....which is well worth it. That truly is a job that sucks.

As far as grass - I've heard good things about St Augustine. Just don't get centipede. It's a pain in the arse.
