Incremental successes

I get your argument. I really do. I just think UGA has to do something drastic to change the perception of and expectations for its program in order to create meaningful and sustainable improvement. Otherwise, I think we're likely talking about an endless cycle of incremental success and failure and never really going anywhere important. UGA is missing an opportunity to be legitimately good in basketball, and I don't think waiting around for our Billy Donovan is a high percentage strategy.

By legitimately good, I don't mean winning an NCAA tournament game here or there. Anybody can do that. I mean having a program capable of making Sweet 16s, competing for the conference title, etc. Obviously Kentucky will always be there, but there isn't another SEC program that is so good that UGA can't get in that conversation below UK.

Anyway, this thread hijack has gone on long enough, at least on my end.

, Shitty shock jock style comment begat a thread.. I don't mind hijacking it. Plus, the original hijack was legitimate...

I think the thing that you and I both agree on is this:

The method is where we disagree a bit, but again, I'm not opposed to a new facility. I do think that building/obtaining a new facility under Fox will largely just be like adding seasoning to a dish that's already burned... I'd like to see someone come in, have early success, and then pour gas on that fire with a new facility... but obviously no success is guaranteed even with the best of new coaches. Just not sure that it's not worth the risk.

As you were fellas.
