Freeze was named specifically for a level 1 violation, for violation of the head coaching responsibility rules.
It's a new day for the NCAA with that legislation. 'I didn't know about it' is no longer an excuse. Being that it is their new rule, I expect they will try to seriously enforce it to show that it isn't just window dressing.

I think that is going to be the standard for any violation in the future. Too many people complained that the HC used "plausible deniability" as a defense.

Thank god for that rule. Coach cal and pitino and on and on, with the "I didn't know" excuse. Do they think everyone is stupid
