Over time he should do this, but the best coaches adapt their coaching style to fit their players' personalities.

If you watch Saban, he doesn't just chew out everybody. He'll chew out certain players. Others he'll explain to them what they did wrong when they messed up.

How many recruits are seriously going to want to play for Goff? Strict coaching is one thing, but him over using pitchers, making guys shave facial hair, etc. would make UA a no for me if I were a recruit.

I think, if these stories are all true (they probably aren't), we should count our stars we have am opportunity to bail out now and let our shiny new AD hire his man.

This is supposed to be one of Byrne's specialities and he still, regardless of this season, has a solid product to sell and money to throw at them. He can find a solid baseball coach.

Also Saban doesn't have a bunch of asinine rules that don't equate to winning games. I mean why does he care if a player wears a hat backwards away from the field? Does it bother him that much that he has to make it a rule? Wearing a hat backwards off campus has absolutely no effect on winning a baseball game.

Saban basically has two rules. Be on time and do your job. He couldn't care less if you haven't shaved in two days.

He's apparently an arse, he has dumb rules, he overworks pitchers, and he is 2-19 in the SEC. Move on IMO

but him over using pitchers,

Also one of Wells' problem areas back in the day. I talked with a regional scout for a MLB team back then, he knew I was a Bama fan. He said pitchers looking at a 4 year school were not considering Bama, (and other programs) because they overused their pitchers.
