Alabama has been trending for Eyabi Anoma, a four-star weak-side defensive end from Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances, on the 247Sports Crystal Ball since it offered earlier this year.

The Crimson Tide has gotten its Jack linebacker target on campus twice since, once in April and again in June.

After the April trip, a source near Anoma's recruitment told BamaOnLine the Tide was at, if not near, the top of his list.

The Top100 prospect caught up with Scout's Brian Dohn this weekend, and talked about Alabama.

“It’s a powerhouse,” Anoma said of the Crimson Tide. “The best players go there. They’re basically in the national championship every year. I like to compete, that’s the one thing about me. I would never like to go to a place that it’s just given to me. I’ve never got anything handed to me. I want to work for everything I have. That’s with any school I go to.”

Anoma likely won't make a decision until late in the process, and plans to take official visits. He has two he's already thinking about.

“I might put one in during a bye-week before our playoff,” he said. “I know I’m probably going to hit the Alabama-LSU game. That’s a really good game. I might hit the Michigan-Ohio State (game). Those are two I’m contemplating on. Other than those two I really don’t know for sure.”

Anoma is rated the No. 3 weak-side defensive end and the No. 56 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.
