1) A number of prospects the Buckeyes have offered a scholarship attended the Under Armour All-American Camp Series on Saturday including Dayton (Ohio) Dunbar running back Tavion Thomas. Thomas was more than solid in his performance showing good speed and the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. He showed why he has so many scholarship offers.

“I think I’m up to 32 right now,” Thomas said when asked how many offers he has. “My most recent were FAU, Texas and Oklahoma.”

Among Thomas’ other offers are Ohio State, Alabama, Wisconsin, Oregon, Michigan, Nebraska, Michigan State, Iowa, Kentucky and Arizona State.

“My most recent visit was Ohio State, I think a couple weeks ago,” Thomas said. “My next visit is going to be Wisconsin. Then I’ll probably go back to O-State. Then go to Oklahoma. And I want to go to Texas. I’m not sure about the dates.”

Coaches from a number of colleges stopped at Dunbar last week.

“Indiana, Texas, Oklahoma, West Virginia came to school last week, and I think that’s it,” Thomas said. “And Wisconsin came last week too.”

Thomas said four schools are coming after him the hardest at this point.

“I’d say right now Oklahoma, Texas, Wisconsin and O-State are recruiting me the hardest,” Thomas said.

Thomas is looking forward to getting back to Ohio State and seeing running backs coach Tony Alford.

“We have a great relationship,” Thomas said. “I’ll be getting back there and talking to him.”

Thomas said five schools currently stand out.

“Wisconsin, Texas, Bama, O-State, West Virginia, that’s it right now,” Thomas said.

The 6-foot-2 and 225-pound Thomas rushed for 1,600 yards on just 137 carries during his junior season. He had 18 touchdowns.

Thomas is a 3-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite. He is the country’s No. 332 overall prospect, the No. 17 running back, and the No. 15 prospect in Ohio.
