JUCO season kicked off last night. Pretty sure ya'll are after Saivion Smith. He apparently blocked a FG last night in MGCC 42-41 win over Itawamba
Torrance Gibson is at QB for MGCC and had a big game as well

Random question. How much of that Mark Jennings guy is satire and how much is legit? Either way he's amazing on those AL.com podcasts and his all caps tweets

Some L6U guy apparently doesn't like to hear that about Savion Smith. Referring to the downvote.

It appears Blake Barnett did not win the ASU starting job. He didn't take a snap last night in their win against New Mexico State.

Barnett can't play dead in a "B" Western.

He's not eligible until week 4, I believe. 1 year from when he left Bama.

LSU was hoping to sign five wide receivers, with some in the office even wanting to add six, as they try to rebuild a depleted group of wide receivers. Over the past couple of recruiting cycles, LSU has signed smaller receiver classes, while absorbing a plethora of transfers during that span. Many expect redshirt junior D.J. Chark to test the NFL Draft waters following this season, putting them in dire straights to find the stars of tomorrow to assist the development of its young quarterbacks.
As it stands now, LSU has two commitments at the position in Berwick's Kenan Jones and Tara's Jaray Jenkins. Both prospects appear firm in their commitments, allowing LSU to divert most of its attention on the remaining names. As you will soon find out, there are still a lot of possibilities on the board.

Terrace Marshall, Parkway, 6-3, 200
Marshall is a consensus elite receiver in the 2018 class. He is rated as a top three prospect at his position by every recruiting outlet, and the type of talent LSU needs to bring in to revamp its wide receiver corps. Marshall released a new top 5, which included LSU, along with Texas A&M, Alabama, Florida State and Texas. LSU seemed like the leader early on, but the Tigers could end being caught in a heated recruiting battle with some of the other contenders.
Texas A&M is going to be a contender for his services. He has visited College Station on numerous occasions this spring and summer, and a strong showing by the Aggies this fall could put them in a good position to land the premier receiver. Success on the field is a must, though, as mounting pressure for head coach Kevin Sumlin to win win now and win big will ultimately determine his future. If Sumlin stays, which will be a product of on-field success, things could get really interesting.

Justin Watkins, Florida, 6-0, 175
This former LSU, Florida and Texas commit finds himself back on the open market, with a recent decommitment from Texas being the latest news surrounding Watkins. This news was expected for me, with the chatter behind the scenes involving LSU's resurgence in his recruitment being a major factor.
Watkins has been extremely unpredictable throughout his recruitment, but time is forcing him to shift his focus a bit. The talk out of Florida is that LSU and Alabama are the two teams to watch out for, with Florida State also remaining in the mix a bit. Three sources on the ground stated they believe Watkins ends up at LSU, with one going with the Crimson Tide. A source at LSU has been steadfast in his stance that they are the team to beat. Keep an eye on Watkins.

Drew Champlin and Mark Jennings are back with another edition of Champ's Corner, the Alabama recruiting podcast.
Some main points for discussion include where Alabama now turns at running back, if Mountain Brook's Harold Joiner fits in well with the Crimson Tide and if Alabama can flip Ohio State quarterback commit Emory Jones.
We also take several listener questions.
