Irony, well not really irony but more of I warned you of the impending FB recruiting disappointments. It would appear that the namesake commitment of this Topic Thread (Ballard) may be sniffing around other options. Not that he would be a great loss (although a need at WR) it is just indicia for the need to put your FB nut cup on now and keep it on. Dont get lulled into a false sense of safety or lost in the euphoria of the BB revival. Be safe now everybody.

We have any shot at the local Missouri recruits now?

That might be Barry's real nail in the coffin, if you can't get anyone from the St. Louis area to come to Mizzou, ship his arse off.

According to the 247 composite

Mizzou' average ranking is 85.03

The #25 class West Virginia is 86.14

I mean, I know recruiting rankings are infallible (especially outside of the elite recruits where the rankings just aren't all that accurate), but surely that 1% point isn't some insurmountable difference that no one could possibly overcome.

You guys realize we are losing a bunch of WRs right?

Mason kicked off
Moore graduates
Collins graduates
Brown will be a Senior
Hall will be a Senior
Ballard will only have 2 to play

I mean we're talking about a lot of openings in the next 2 years. They need to develop new WRs yesterday.

In 2019 we'll have Ballard, JJ, and ???

I'm afraid that coaching up 3-stars isn't going to cut it in this league. I thought we'd be okay after winning the East twice, but I honestly didn't realize how fortunate the circumstances were for us then.

I'm severely underwhelmed.
