I don't think it was funny. You could tell he was going to get emotional after his mom walked out and when the guy behind him, squeezed his shoulder to tell him it was ok. Everyone seemed to support him but guess who.

This is one of the parts I hate about college athletics, is what goes on in the family and the pressure and hurt that can come with it for a young man.
