or maybe it's because there weren't an influx of LSU players in the NFL until more recently than 1980. What's more surprising is why Alabama only has 6 more players than LSU?

LINK Rings by college. Warning, it's a slideshow. This was published before last years game.
28 LSU players have won Super Bowl rings, which is only 1 less than Bama. Of those 28, 20 have played for either Saban or Miles.
