Yea - I realize that - but for the most part Kentucky won and there were other teams that were Top 20 teams that were forced into the NIT or nothing at all.

Yea. For example...Arkansas has finished in their league in 3rd place or 2nd place 16 times and not made the NCAA Tourney. In today's format, that would likely equate to at least 15 more NCAA Appearances.
