No, we won the conference in those seasons and were not allowed to accept a bid to the NCAA's. We had to sneak out of the state behind the governor's back to go to the 1963 tournament.

Yea - I realize that - but for the most part Kentucky won and there were other teams that were Top 20 teams that were forced into the NIT or nothing at all.
