Agree. That's my point. Alabama is the Standard, and they are abandoning the pro style. Other teams trying to emulate Bama will not make it to the playoffs. LSU blew their shot when Herman said no

Some of you guys believe Saban is a Gawd and his players are Semi-Gawds, but that's not correct as they put their pants on one leg at a time just like the rest of us. LSU held them to 10 points this past season and, of course, they shut out LSU. However, it wasn't because LSU plays a pro style offense, but instead because LSU still played Les Miles' pro style offense, which for years was the most predictable and easiest offense in the SEC to prepare for. It was easy for Alabama to shut out LSU, because they always new what was coming every time before LSU snapped the ball. That poor excuse for an offense has finally seen its final day now that the season is over and a new day is coming to LSU. There won't be anymore cake walks or long droughts for Alabama against LSU. Those days are finally over.

Meanwhile, Clemson didn't win because they run a spread offense, they won because they wore Alabama's defense down. As in the second half, Clemson's defense held Alabama to 7 straight three and outs in a row that averaged about a minute a piece, and did not give Alabama's defense anytime to rest. Then late in the fourth quarter once Alabama's defense was spent, Clemson was able to rally and pull out the victory. Even though Alabama scored a lucky touchdown on them.
