Sims had such a pretty deep ball, still may be my favorite Bama QB of the Saban era

Do people think a stonefaced, ice in the veins, true freshman Qbs are just a regular thing? Maybe we have back-to-back ones, but how many true freshman QBs have even won a conference title, much less go undefeated in the regular season? I realize the defense helped the offense in a lot of games, but you don't see a young QB go into Baton Rouge and hostile environments like Hurts did and lead the team with such poise.

Our fans are so crazy in love with the backup QB it has to be a qualification to become a fan. It is not just people on here either, I've had four different people come up to me and actually sound excited we are going to have a new QB next year. I wonder if they would be like that if we had intercepted Watson or held them that last drive. Hurts would be the man who brought us back then I bet.

Easily. He instantly became one of my favorite Bama players ever during the 2012 LSU game when he gestured to the crowd after the Yeldon score. It was just icing on the cake when he set records in 14. Blake would have won it all with the defense we had this year.

Yep, but he never displayed it until his last year and there were a lot of stories about how much he worked with that QB coach in his last off season. I think Hurts could benefit from the same kind of focused attention.
