Clemson made some remarkable plays too, just enough win. Alabama played great too. It looked like the two best teams in the country out there.
Sucks to be on the losing end, but this all day long. It was an incredible game just like last year.
For two straight seasons the same two teams met for the national title, both games weren't decided until the very end, and the games were split between the two with a combined total points differential of one point.
College football doesn't get any better that that.

As many games as Bama wins, consecutively even, and with losses being so rare, it is hard for us as fans to accept a loss in any game, much less the NC game.
I compare last night's game to an NFL future rookie showcase game, in a way. Future NFL players all over the field on both teams, parity at so many levels.
Look at this breakdown of past Super Bowl winners in the 16 game regular season, wins & losses vs championships:
Regular Season Record / Number of SB Wins
15-1 / 2
14-2 / 7
13-3 / 7
12-4 / 9
11-5 / 3
10-6 / 2
You honestly could look at last night's game as a microcosm of the NFL, where parity is the key. So much so that a team with 4 regular season losses has won the Super Bowl more often than those with 1,2, or 3 losses. Notice that there are 0 teams with 0 losses even in the picture.
Heads up folks, it was 2 great college teams playing in a great game and one had to lose. Clemson made a couple more plays than Bama. It was their time.
