It's not really 'other people'. Like it's not Susie down the block being a judgmental twat. It's the mass culture put forth by our education, media, politics that tries to dictate our society's norms. It's deep and ingrained in them their whole lives

Easier for us say (as men) than girls, however, there is something to be said for teaching women to stand up for what they truly value, whether or not that meets the prevailing culture of modern times. Nothing wrong with the woman being the breadwinner (hell, Aggiebelle and I have taken turns assuming that role since we've been married). Also nothing wrong with a gal wanting to be a housewife--that shite ain't easy, and it takes someone secure in themselves to commit to something that doesn't come with the tangible/monetary accolades and recognition of working outside the home.
