4* LB Breon Dixon commits to Ole Miss

4* #11 ILB commits to Ole Miss over his other finalist Louisville. Kid is out of Grayson high school in GA.
Had offers from TCU, Tennessee, UGA, Miami, Southern Cal, Ohio State and a handful of other big schools.
We desperately need some recruiting momentum, and LB is our biggest need so this is a big pickup for us.

Yeah it's tough to tell what offers are commitable and which offers aren't. Just went off of what was on 247

Good player. Undersized for MLB and not quite safety athleticism, but a hard hitter. If he can find a niche he can be a contributor

I think he had the offer, they just weren't recruiting him. CK said he doesn't take back scholarship offers

Now Ole Miss needs a big RB that can nickel and dime a defense in the second half.

Oh yeah, kids say they have offers from all over the place. Breon had an offer but we pulled it since we couldn't find a position for him. He'll probably be all SEC now.

He certainly needs a year or two in a college weight program to put on some good weight. But with our lack of depth I'd be shocked if we red-shirt him. He'll have a chance to contribute from day 1

There are certainly plenty of LBs who have been all SEC despite being undersized. Georgia just had bigger targets in all of his potential positions this year. Don't know if the offer was "pulled", but we basically ceased contact leading to the decommit

The only issue is he is only 6'0. Then again guys like Iron Mike Singletary & Pat Swilling were shorter. He is close to 220 lbs right now and if he can put on 10 lbs of solid weight while keeping his speed he will be fine.

Dixon is a winner with great instincts. Breon will make Ole Miss fans very happy.
