He has a chance to be the Bear Bryant at Clemson. There's no reason to be another coach at Alabama when they already have great ones. Plus it's a lot more stressful due to the fanbase.

The same could be said for Saban if he stayed at LSU. A HC that strives to be the best looks for programs that will give them all the resources needed and have a tradition of winning. CU with Dabo is at their peak. This will be as good as it gets and when Watson leaves CU will once again only be competing for ACC champs on a regular basis. CU has always recruited well but until Watson and CFB playoffs came around CU was not a contender over the last 30+ years.

It really depends on what Dabo wants his legacy to be. Take all the homer out of it which may be hard for a CU fan but Cu will never be a traditional powerhouse program nor will it ever sustain as one.

it is not true that Clemson has always recruited as good as the past 6 years or so.

there is also no reason to believe that Clemson hasn't recruited other good QBs. there were people who said Clemson would drop off once Boyd and Sammy Watkins left.

ALabama wasn't anythign special between 92 and Saban. ALabama fans are the homers because they forget the bad seasons. they were paying those coaches a ton of money too.

i'm sure there were a lot of Alabama fans who didn't want to hire Saban. When Saban was hired, nobody could have known he would win 4 titles, maybe 5 in a short time span. Alabama fans would have been happy with just 1.

i don't understand the bragging about titles won back in the 60s and 70s. it means nothing. coaches would go to school with no national titles if it paid like Alabama pays. lol
