LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — The first practice for the Under Armour All-America Game is in the books. The 247Sports team ranked the top 10 performers from Wednesday’s practice.

Alpha Dog — DE Joshua Kaindoh

Florida State defensive end commit Joshua Kaindoh dominated during one-on-ones. The 6-foot-6, 255-pound prospect’s quickness off the line of scrimmage consistently gave offensive tackles fits. During the scrimmage portion of the day, Kaindoh was able to get into the backfield with regularity. Overall, 247Sports tabbed the Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy product the top overall performer during the first practice of the week.

2. DL LaBryan Ray

Top-50 prospect LaBryan Ray spent the entire day at defensive tackle, where he thoroughly impressed. The 6-foot-4, 255-pound prospect was just too quick for the interior offensive linemen. The Madison (Ala.) James Clemens product was able to get penetration frequently, once forcing a fumble from quarterback Kellen Mond that was scooped up by Ray. He later broke through the line and batted a pass in what was a very active day for Ray.

3. OT Alex Leatherwood

Alabama commit Alex Leatherwood spent most of the day working at left tackle, where he stuffed the speed rush consistently. The 6-foot-5, 325-pound prospect moved his feet well and, when he got his hands on the pass rusher, the rep was effectively over. The Pensacola (Fla.) Washington product simply bullies defensive ends with his impressive power.

4. WR Jalen Reagor

TCU commit Jalen Reagor was able to stretch the field on a regular basis during Wednesday’s workout. The Waxahachie (Texas) star’s speed and quickness also made him a tough cover on the underneath routes. Reagor had the best showing of the skill players during Day One.

5. WR Jerry Jeudy

Alabama commit Jerry Jeudy consistently was able to create separation from the defensive backs in coverage. The Deerfield Beach (Fla.) product was one of the more fluid route-runners during Day One. On the 6-foot-1, 175-pounder’s highlight play, he went up high between two defenders to come up with a beautiful snag over the middle of the field.

6. CB Stanford Samuels

Florida State commit Stanford Samuels showed he really excels in press coverage when he’s able to use his long arms to knock receivers off their routes. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound prospect also looked extremely fluid going through defensive-back drills. During the scrimmage portion of the day, Samuels was able to register a pair of pass breakups.

7. WR Jhamon Ausbon

Texas A&M commit Jhamon Ausbon really impressed during one-on-ones, where he did an excellent job of using his 6-foot-2, 215-pound frame to shield defenders off for several catches. For being a bigger receiver, Ausbon is a very smooth route runner, which makes him an even tougher cover. The Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy product also flashed a pair of strong hands that snatches the ball out of the air.

8. LB Christopher Allen

Alabama commit Christopher Allen dominated the inside run drill playing both inside and outside linebacker. The well-built, 6-foot-4, 235-pound prospect showed good instincts and consistently met the running back in the hole for little to no gain. The Baton Rouge (La.) Southern University Lab star also showed the ability to go sideline to sideline better than anticipated.

9. OT Jedrick Wills

Alabama commit Jedrick Wills worked out at right tackle the entire day, and the 6-foot-5, 318-pound prospect more than held his own on the outside. The Lexington (Ky.) Lafayette product was the only lineman able to slow star defensive end Joshua Kaindoh during one-on-ones. Some projected Wills as a guard on the next level, but after Wednesday it seems clear he can be effective as a tackle.

10. QB Myles Brennan

LSU commit Myles Brennan consistently made accurate throws on intermediate and deep routes. The Bay Saint Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus product made good decisions during seven-on-seven play as well as the scrimmage portion of practice. On a day that saw many of the quarterbacks struggle, Brennan was clearly the most effective throughout Day One.
