They actually have done that a couple times i.e. Vinnie Sunseri and Glen Coffee. The main reason why Coffee entered the draft after his junior year is because Saban told him that he would likely lose his starting RB job to Ingram and his playing time would be greatly reduced. Coffee never wanted to leave early to go to the NFL.

There is no proof at all that Kiffin was told to find another job. That is something that is made up.
