Who was available? Who was really willing to take the job? How much could we have paid? Would it have been worth it?

That's my point. Just about anyone not named Kim Anderson could have "cleaned house" and yet not had back to back to back embarrassingly bad seasons. So to answer your question about who was available...anyone and everyone not named Coach K, Bill Self, Roy Williams and so on. Anyone could have done what KA did and not imploded the program at the same time.

Tell yourself that, but we don't know who the real options were. We don't know all the details about the probation and if all truth has been told on who knew what and when. The job was likely viewed as toxic. Not sure why you think people are going to shift laterally for a job that's toxic.

When it comes to B- to C+ grade coaches (which is what we were going to get) I'd argue that it'd be unlikely for any of them to do what was best Mizzou long-term at the risk of putting themselves in harms way -- which is what KA has done. I think that factored into this big time.
