Let's ask a different question...
Of all the possible teams, why Miami? When have we ever pined to play Miami over everyone else?
We haven't. This has nothing to do with it being a challenge....or we'll take anybody...or any of that bullshite. We wouldn't even be thinking of Miami if Richt wasn't there. So it's really about whether Richt can beat his replacement right? What other reason is there to GAS about not playing Miami? Is continuing to rehash the decision to cut CMR loose good for either team?
This would be a pure soap opera drama move. If I'm UGA I wouldn't have any interest in this either.

Miami was an option. I would rather play them than TCU. It was cool playing a team with tradition like Penn state last year. It's hard to get up for an 7-5 or 8-4 opponent when they don't have a championship winning history. I'm still pumped for the game and exposure in Texas, but I would have preferred Miami.
