I think most people feel the same way, but the argument people have against the expansion is that these kids are getting beat up and are overwhelmed. so with adding a "bye" I think that would take away some of that argument.

On the contrary, it would add to the argument. Imagine Clemson playing MIchigan and running the risk of having players injured and then having to play Alabama at less than full strength. We're not talking about college basketball here. The odds of losing a key starter for the following week are higher.
