You hear it all the time where coaches say how hard it is to get players to bring their A game every single week. Bama's no different and typically has an uninspired OOC game each season. The west was clinched last week, Auburn is next week, and literally every other team in playoff contention now has a loss.

I just wouldn't read much if anything into the performance. This game was the perfect storm for a letdown. From watching and listening to his comments, I don't think Saban was one bit surprised that things played out as they did. Heck, deep down in a place he won't even admit exists he's probably glad they got it out of their system.
