This makes me think of a short story from back in high school where a bunch of guys get stuck in a lighthouse and a ship floats over to the island. The ship is full of rats who have eaten everyone on the ship. The rats make it to the island and kill everyone there too. Scary shite. A starving rat will mess someone up.
