Two things as this season is and has been over for awhile.
1. Marked improvement in year 2. Even if the team isn't very good, there needs to be no blowouts and an improvement in the W column. Also need to "look" better in terms of how the play. TOs, penalties etc. play smarter.
2. Recruiting gains. The next two years are some of the deepest talent pools we've seen in Missouri in a long time. He needs to be able to sell these kids on rebuilding Mizzou and get at least our fair share of the talent.
He can turn this around, but positive forward momentum will have to be gained in year 2

Odom has Kim Anderson to thank. He know's he has PLENTY of time to get things turned around.

Kim will be fired this year. Odom will probably get the boot in 2017

I know you were excited as hell when MU handed the HC to BO.
However, in his first year, he has shown absolutely no reason, to justify the decision that gave him the HC job. Zero. Notta. Nothing
His team has quit on him for the most part.
He looks and sounds like a defeated man.
So far he has wins against EMU and Del St. That's it
However, even If he goes winless in these last 4 games, and does so in a manor that shows no improvement.
He'll get another year anyway. lol.. It's the MIZZOU way.
As far as recruiting goes.. Good luck with that.. 2-10 won't get you anything but the left overs
Again, BO has not shown in any way, that he deserves to be a HC in the SEC, or anywhere else.... But he'll get another year, to show...... He's not the answer here.

I think he deserved a shot as the Memphis HC. The SEC is not kind to DC's and their first HC job regardless of pedigree. Muschamp, Stoops and Mason can testify to that. I just don't want Mizzou to get into the 3-1 cycle like Kentucky and Vandy. 3 bad years and then 1 good year to save the coach, followed by 3 bad years.
Do what Florida did, have high expectations, and make the change when the coach shows he is out of his depth. If BO has another bad season AND recruiting is not top 30, start calling agents.

This. Jim Sterk didn't hire these clowns. I'm confident that he will get this athletic department competitive again with a non "True Son" bullshite hire.

It's the every college in America way. No one gets fired after one year, nor should they. It would be incredibly stupid to do so.

No

I'll take the True Son thing a step further. Not only do I not want administrators or coaches who went to Mizzou, I want all the current athletes gone. Replace them with JUCOs, transfer students, and fifth-year grads.
And all the fans? Outta here. If you went to Mizzou, stop cheering. We need people who went elsewhere to fill the stands.

I think his first, and biggest, mistake was matching a hurry up offense with a brand new defensive scheme.
At the time it showed some signs of promise... now, with the benefit of hindsight being 20/20, it was a disaster. I think Missouri could do very well with the proposed new defensive scheme... but not when the offensive tends to churn out thirty second drives.
He was a little too bold. Either stick with the old defense and go with a new offense, or go with ball control offense while you get the new defense ready.
