I actually rarely call people racist.

If you can't see there was a vein of white nationalism behind Trump's ascension to the GOP nomination, then I can't help you. And those seeds were planted in 2008 when Obama won the Presidency.

Technically they were planted back in Nixon's time, but we'll keep it in more modern times.

Sure there is. I have no problem acknowledging that it exists.

The difference is that I'll say it but I seriously doubt you will recognize that Obama got a great deal of support solely because of his race and he's spent the last 8 years interjecting himself into local issues with a race angle (virtually every time on the side eventually proven to be factually wrong) in a fashion that served to worsen the situation.

The night he was elected, I knew I wouldn't care for his policies but my one hope was that he'd help improve race relations. Instead he's poured gas and threw matches.
