You do realize he was only at LSU for 5 years right?

Yes, I do. And in his 5 years at LSU he won 2 SEC and 1 National title. He had a record of 48-16 and two seasons of 10+ wins.

In his first 5 years at Bama he won 1 SEC and 2 national titles. he had a record of 55-12 and 4 seasons of 10+ wins.

His overall tenure at Bama is certainly better than it was at LSU and it's been twice as long, so it isn't "fair" to look at entire tenure. however, even his first 5 years at Bama were better than his 5 year tenure at LSU.

I know you don't want to admit this, but the rebuilding project he inherited at LSU was much bigger than the one at Alabama. Additionally, Saban learned and got better with more experience, just like most people do in their jobs. He was a better coach in 2007 than he was in 2000 when he took over the LSU program. He was a better coach when he left LSU than when he got there as well.
