He also never had back to back ten win season at LSU and is about to have his 9th consecutive ten win season at Bama.

You do realize he was only at LSU for 5 years right? He won the championship in 03', would have won it in 07' and who only knows from that point. This is a dumb discussion.

0/10 ... saban would've built a dynasty at any of the top ten programs ... he might not have taken the job, but he would have a dynasty at a school like lsu ...

This is intended as an Alabama ego stroke and nothing more. They want to think and prove that they are just inherently better than everyone else, not that they literally have had the two greatest coaches of all time run their program for extended periods. The fact of the matter is this, Alabama is no more immune from lulls than any other program similarly situated in terms of natural resources. It depends on who is coaching at that time. Look at UF under Meyer and UF now, for example. Their natural recruiting footprint and financial resources are not at this untouchable exalted status.

Here is where I will give Alabama credit. They have created a culture of demanding and expecting excellence. That's where they gain the advantage over similarly situated schools in terms of natural resources, e.g. Florida, UGA, LSU. The latter schools don't quite demand it as much as Alabama expects it. This is what gets them to go out and hire elite coaches and stymie any lull they may experience.

Yes, I do. And in his 5 years at LSU he won 2 SEC and 1 National title. He had a record of 48-16 and two seasons of 10+ wins.

In his first 5 years at Bama he won 1 SEC and 2 national titles. he had a record of 55-12 and 4 seasons of 10+ wins.

His overall tenure at Bama is certainly better than it was at LSU and it's been twice as long, so it isn't "fair" to look at entire tenure. however, even his first 5 years at Bama were better than his 5 year tenure at LSU.
