I love how all the "real gator fans" have been enlightened to the things TJ and I were saying since the Tennessee game. I just tricking love.
It's time to MFGA

Which would be? Seriously, I'm curious. Because I don't think anyone here was super happy with some of the play calling, the offense, or the QB. But we didn't see any reason to go full retard either.
Sometimes I think not bitching on every post gets construed as tacit approval of everything going on. Yet it rarely is.

Del Rio sucks.
If Grier was still here, this offense would be rolling.
THats really all I have to say about this.
Although I do wonder what kind of shite McElwain and Nuss were smoking today with some of the playcalling.

We need a quarterback, and Grier isn't one of those super stupidly good quarterbacks but he's at least decent.
And it's not like we got shut out at home.
That aside: No one is saying they like where the team is. No one said that we think this is where we need to be, where we needed to be, in every facet, every way, since the beginning of the year.
It's a work in progress.
That means that until McElwain can get at least a decent quarterback, we're fricked. Del Rio is a walk-on two time transfer, Appleby was a runner-up at motherfricking Purdue who won seven games in like three years.
We'll have two quarterbacks who can pick up the slack and another young guy coming in, but at least we're beating the frick out of Kentucky and Vanderbilt whereas Georgia is more on par with their levels.
We didn't show up, we got beaten by a team because of motivation (again) and we gotta have a real look at ourselves in the mirror and come back from it.
TL;DR
Need a goddamn motherfricking quarterback.

It's the only thing missing in this offense, quite frankly.
The Oline has been looking better at least, our receivers, when the ball is serviceable are making plays.
But Del Rio, Appleby and co. just cannot, for the life of them, get it done. We're in for a long couple seasons if we can't improve.

Honestly wish we would throw Trask out there and get ready for 2017.

I'm glad that you admit that you and TJ love it when Florida loses. It's very telling and explains why you are the way you are.
I think LDR is a serviceable backup, but doesn't have what it takes to be the starter. I don't usually call for a QB to be benched, but I think we have to put Trask or Franks in there and let them take their lumps in these last four games and go into next year with some hope that the QB position will get better.

I mean it was a shite show yesterday, but I'm still not gonna be calling for Macs head. Any coach deserves 4 years at least IMO to try to implement their system. Read the prediction thread. A lot of the people complaining predicted this lose at the beginning of the season. This is an 8 win team talent-wise and we'll probable win 7 games due to the lost Presbyterian game.

I like to say a HC should get 3-4 yrs but thats if the team is showing improvement.
If we struggle to recruit this offseason or field an offense next yr I will not entertain nor offer anymore excuses for Mac In Co

Well, we are improving numbers wise. That was the first game where we looked like Treon Harris out of the entire season. The system is there, you can see open receivers streaking everywhere down the field but the problem is, and will continue to be, at quarterback.
We can't throw, which causes us to lean on the run, and when we can't rely on the run, we're fricked. We have an LSU quarterback without an LSU running back.

I swear to God it wasn't intentional but now that you've said it I can't stop laughing.

What? We've had less than 250 yards of total offense 3 of the last 4 SEC games and scored 66 points total This team hasn't improved at all.

I have never rooted for UF to lose. Quit making up lies. I've said this team hasn't beat anyone and not improved and all you guys did was say I was crazy. Where were you at Mr. True fan. You weren't in the game thread and you show up after the game. Gtfo.

Mac's got at least three years, even if he loses the rest of the games this year. Firing a coach after two years would be a complete disaster, and people that think if you throw enough money out there it doesn't matter are nuts.
I'm not going to say it can't happen, but Stricklin wouldn't be doing himself any favors by dumping a coach in two years to satisfy a segment of the fanbase. Any coach is going to have to ask himself how much he wants to uproot their whole lives, family included, to take a job at a university that just fired a coach after two years who made it to Atlanta in his first season and still had at least a winning record in the regular season his second year. It's not just money, and it is usually not just one person who is personally affected ever ytime a coach moves.
That's why I don't waste a lot of time bitching about Mac beyond the occasional grumble in a game thread.
On to LDR - I was fine with him playing as long as we were winning. It's obvious that he isn't a great QB, but with our defense, I felt OK about the a pedestrian 21 to 24 points a game. A lot of that is also because Appleby is not the answer either, at least I don't think he is. He's at least as erratic as LDR. So really what benching LDR means is burning a redshirt. That's why, until yesterday, I had no issue with trying to avoid that. I still think with no interception and just 24 points, we would have one that game. I don't blame the D for finally letting the dam burst in the fourth quarter. How many three-and-outs can you watch from the sideline, particularly when your side of the ball is basically being held together by duct tape yet still somehow delivering stops?
It's pretty obvious that, for whatever reason, the o-line can't control the line well enough to have a run game when the other side knows we can't pass. And we can't pass. And yes, I would have pulled LDR at the half yesterday, and I think Mac was wrong not to. You could see Franks slinging the ball around on the sideline yesterday, and I really hoped that meant he was about to go in.
Now, I do think if Mac doesn't open this thing up to everyone again in the spring (if not this week), he is playing with his job. I think the administration would prefer to give him four years, but I'm not sure they will if we look like this again next year, particularly if we look like this again next year and no efforts were made to shake anything up.
I feel like either way, we are going to learn a whole lot about Mac in the next three weeks. I think it would be very hard to roll with LDR and not send a message to the team that you are pretty much writing off the season, but I also have no idea what the dynamic is in the locker room.

If we lose the last 3 I think the new AD may cut ties. He has zero connection to Mac.
